So, he nicknamed his formula “Miracle Mineral Solution,” or MMS for short.

Based on Jim Humble’s research, the chlorine dioxide effects on human body recovery were miraculous and seemed to defy explanation by the current medical standards. There were people claiming to be cured of diseases that defied treatment and would have otherwise been the death of these participants, yet they had recovered from these challenges with a new zest for life.

Pushback on Humble’s Discovery
Humble’s findings and his book were not well-received. The FDA quickly responded to Humble’s reports, claiming that he was encouraging people to drink chlorine dioxide which was only authorized for use as an industrial cleaning agent and bactericide. Humble found himself immediately under attack by the media for his findings based on the ingestion of a few drops of the CIO2 disinfectant in a glass of water.

A health and nutrition doctor and his wife had chronic Lyme disease and with no traditional medical hope in sight decided to try MMS or chlorine dioxide in their own treatment regimen.
